Farhana Runa, PhD
Dr. Farhana Runa is a Research Scientist in the Developmental Oncogene Laboratory, California State University. Her research is to understand the pathology of pancreatic cancer progression in the tumor microenvironment (TME). Dr. Runa obtained diversified research backgrounds and skills throughout her academic trainings and professional developments. She obtained M.S. from the University of Arizona and Ph.D. from North Carolina of State University, where she explored the state of multinuclear condition of filamentous fungi. She has also a contribution to the rapid diagnosis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in Bangladesh through her M.S. research from the University of Dhaka. Her current research will advance in finding functional target candidates to develop early diagnostic biomarker or treat aggressive cancer in the pancreas.
